A catch-all feature that is enabled for a given mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled email address under the very same domain name, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial in case you run a company, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited messages, you can combine the catch-all option with anti-spam filters so as to receive only authentic email messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox easily if you’ve got a shared hosting account with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet extremely user-friendly, and it will enable you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with only several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one of them you’ll find a small-size "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will enable the feature, clicking on it twice will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option activated or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be created with a few clicks if you have a Linux semi-dedicated package with us. The hosting account will be administered through our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to create email addresses using any domain registered there. To activate the catch-all option for a mailbox, you will need to click the button with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Deactivating the feature can be achieved in the same fashion and will not require more than a click either. If the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a particular domain, you’ll receive a warning notice. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never edit or disable any feature automatically.
